Day 1: Bangkok Meals: None Arrive in Bangkok with your international flight, you will be transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the Navalai - Serene Corner
Day 2: Bangkok Meals: B Free day. Overnight at the Navalai - Serene Corner Day 3: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi Meals: B L D (Join-in) The following three days you will travel in an international group of travellers to Kanchanaburi Province, West of Bangkok. You will receive a fax in your hotel the evening before your departure, with the exact pick up time.
Early this morning (between 06:00 - 06:30 a.m.), you will be picked up from the lobby of your hotel and transferred to Kanchanaburi. This provincial capital is located about 120 kilometers west of Bangkok. Our first visits will be to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre (War Museum), the War Cemetery and the Bridge over the River Kwai. We will take a long-tail boat for an hour on the Kwai Noi River and pass mountainous jungle scenery on the way to the River Kwai Jungle Rafts.
In the evening, there will be the traditional dances and music of the Mon. Although there is no electricity at River Kwai Jungle Rafts, oil lamps create a special atmosphere. Accommodation consists of basic, though comfortable, rooms with hammocks on the front porch and private bathrooms. Overnight at River Kwai Jungle Rafts
Day 4: Kanchanaburi Meals: B L D (Join-in) After breakfast, you will go on an exciting boat ride downstream to Resotel Pier and continue to visit the Hell Fire Pass Memorial.
In the afternoon, visit the nearby Mon village, an ethnic group originally from Burma. It's possible to make an optional ride on the back of an elephant through the forested hills surrounding Jungle Rafts. Relax in you hammock or swim in the river. After lunch, take a boat to Pakseng. In the early afternoon, we go for a train ride on the infamous Burma railway.
Mid afternoon board you A/C transport back to Bangkok, where you will be dropped at your hotel. Overnight at the Navalai - Serene Corner
Day 6: Bangkok - Ayuthaya Meals: B L You will be picked up by your guide and driver from the hotel at 08:30. Drive to Bang Pa In. Visit the Summer Palace at Bang Pa-in. The manicured grounds hold a variety of buildings in different architectural styles. The Chinese Pavilion, donated in the late 19th Century by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce is one of the highlights of the visit. Afterwards, board a longtail boat for a scenic 45-minute rivertrip to Wat Phananchoeng in Ayuthaya. After the demise of Sukhotai in the 14th century Ayuthaya become the political centre of Siam. Wat Phananchoeng holds a giant sitting Buddha statue, while its walls are filled with hundreds of smaller statues. Visit Wat Chai Mongkol, famous for its leaning Chedi and Buddha galleries, before lunch at a riverside restaurant. In the afternoon visit the Ayuthaya Historical Study Center or Wat Ratburana, as well as Wat Sri Sanpet and Wat Phra Mahatat before drop off at your hotel. This evening is free at your leisure. Day 7: Ayuthaya - Phitsanulok - Sukhothai Meals: B Today, transfer on own to the railway station for the day train to Phitsanuloke. The train will depart around 07.27 a.m.
Arrive in Phitsanuloke around 12.25 p.m., meet upon arrival with your driver who will transfer you to the hotel in Sukhothai.
In the afternoon, visit the Historical Park on own. The Historical Park is located a few hundred meters from the hotel. Overnight at the Legendha - Superior
Day 8: Sukhothai Meals: B Today is free to explore the nearby Sukhothai Historical Park on own.
The park can easily be reached by short ride with a local bus, and be explored on foot or by locally rented bicycle.
Sukhothai was the first capital of Thailand, and flourished in the 13th and 14th century AD. We recommend starting with a visit to the Ramkhamhaeng Museum.Some of the highlights of the Historical Park are the sprawling Wat Mahathat, Wat Sri Chum with its giant sitting Buddha statue and Wat Chang Lom, an elegant stupa decorated with elephants. Day 9: Sukhothai - Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai Meals: B Today, you will be transferred to Pitsanuloke railway station for a day train to Chiang Mai.
Arrive in Chiang Mai, a driver will be waiting for you at the station and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Rimping Village - Superior
Day 10: Chiang Mai Meals: B Free day. Overnight at Rimping Village - Superior
Day 11: Chiang Mai (1st day trekking) Meals: B L D (Trip departs every Tuesday and Saturday) You will be picked up at 09.00 at the hotel by your trekking guide. You will drive to the North into the mountains. On the way, you'll stop at Mae Ma Lai local market. Your guide will do some shopping for the coming days. He will invite you to come along and will explain about the different ingredients he will be using for dinner. After lunch we will make a short ride to a Akha village. We will start our trek with the first hike to Pang Deng village, which is part of one of the Royal projects. Here the guide will explain about this interesting agricultural project. After this visit we will start trekking to Pang Hoo, a Palong village where you will stay overnight. There are only a handful of Palong villages in Northern Thailand. The Palong tribe only recently moved to Thailand from Burma and wear a distinctive costume mostly in red, with rattan hoops worn around the waist.
Your guide will introduce you to the Thai Kitchen and will explain you about all the different herbs we use for the Thai dishes, after that you can help him to cook the dinner. He will invite you to one of the local houses to hear stories about life and history of the village. Overnight at Hilltribe Village North Thailand
Day 12: Chiang Mai (2nd day trekking) Meals: B L D After breakfast this morning we will start trekking to a nearby elephant camp. You willl ride on of these majestic animals for one hour. After this exhilirating elephant ride we will continue trekking to a waterfall where you will have time for a refreshing swim. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at the waterfall. After lunch we will continue our trek through the forest. Your guide will take his time to explain you about the natural environment. We walk out of the forest into the ricefields of the Lahu. "Obu uja" is hello in Lahu language. The Lahu are skillful hunters.
Once we have arrived in the village you can rest for a while or spend some time playing with the children. Your guide will prepare your evening meal for you all, and if you like you can join him to prepare dinner. At the campfire after dinner you will hear the story of the Lahu from your guide. Day 13: Chiang Mai (3rd day trekking) Meals: B After breakfast this morning we will trek to an Akha village. This is the most primitive and charismatic tribe in Thailand. The Akha are one the most interesting tribes living in South East Asia due to their very strong traditional beliefs. The women wear characteristic headdresses ornamented with coins. Here we will spend some time to look around in the village.
After a short rest we'll travel by truck to a riverside camp where a bamboo raft will be waiting for you. Your helmsman will manoevre the raft through the gentle rapids. After the raft trip it is time for lunch. Drive back to Chiang Mai by truck. On the way back we will make a stop at an orchid nursery. Overnight at Rimping Village - Superior
Day 14: Chiang Mai - Phuket Meals: B Transfer to the airport on own for your flight to Bangkok.

Day 15: Phuket Meals: B Overnight at Sugar Palm Grand - Grand Garden/Pool View
Day 16: Phuket - Koh Racha Meals: B This morning around 07.30 - 08.00 a.m., you be be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Chalong pier, where you board a boat for Koh Racha at 09.00 a.m. (also known as Koh Raya locally). Only 23 kilometers from Phuket is Racha Island with its beautiful scenery, crystal clear waters and empty beaches.
Enjoy nature walks through coconut plantations, and see water buffaloes in their natural surroundings. See how the local people are still living as they did a hundred years ago, growing mangoes, jack fruit, tamarind, cashew nuts and going out to the sea for fishing.
During the green season (from April to September) Ban Raya bays are one of the only places in the Phuket region where the waters remain calm and scuba diving is fantastic.
