Day 1: Bangkok

Arrive in Bangkok with your international flight (TBA). Meet upon arrival at the airport with your driver who will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: Bangkok - Nongkhai

Free morning.

Check out time is at noon. Transfer to the railway station on own for your night train to Nongkhai.
Overnight on A/C 2nd Class Sleeper Train Thailand

Day 3: Nongkhai - Vientiane
Meals: None
Upon arrival in Nongkhai railway station around 08.30 a.m., transfer on own to the Thai/Laos border (Friendship Bridge, a 5 minutes / 40 baht tuk-tuk ride).

At 09:30 a.m., your driver will be waiting for you on the Laos side of the border for your transfer to the hotel in Vientiane.

Today, meet your private guide and driver to Vang Vieng.

Day 6: Vang Vieng - Luang Prabang

Morning is free at leisure.
Afternoon, private transfer to Luang Prabang.
**Khiri Travel Office in Luang Prabang is very close to the Rama Hotel. Coming out of the Rama Hotel, you just cross the street, turn left and you will see the office on your right hand side**

Day 7: Luang Prabang

Your guide picks you up at your hotel at 08.30am. Then leave Luang Prabang and follow the Khan River valley upstream to reach the Elephant Village.

Upon arrival you get a briefing on how to handle elephants, and the activities of the Elephant Village. Trek for 1.5 hours to the jungle camp. On the way, you cross the Nam Khan and walk along local gardens, Teak plantations and natural forest.
Enjoy a Lao style picnic lunch.

In the afternoon embark on a trek along the "Trail of Falls". This natural stream feeds the crystal clear Tad Sae Waterfall, which cascades over multilevel limestone formations, forming pools surrounded by unique tropical vegetation (Seasonal: Prepare to get wet: bring sandals, short trousers and/or swimsuit)> Relax a while before it goes back to the Elephant Camp by boat. Upon arrival, depart to Luang Prabang and drop off at your hotel around 4pm.

Day 9: Luang Prabang - Pakbeng

This early morning, you will be picked up at the hotel with your driver who will transfer you to the boat landing of Luang Say Cruise. Start of a two days river cruise to Pakbeng by Luang Say Cruise.

The Luang Say boat departs from Luang Prabang pier at 07.00 - 07.30 a.m. for a cruise up the Mekong River to Pakbeng. On the way to Pak Ou Village, at the mouth of the mouth of the Nam Ou River a visit is organized to Tam Ting "Caves of a thousand Buddha's". After a brief stop is made at Ban Baw to observe the processing traditional rice alcohol, a delicious Buffet lunch is served on board. The boat will arrive at Luang Say Lodge before sunset for overnight stop. Dinner is served at terrace overlooking the Mekong River.

Day 10: Pakbeng - Ban Houay Sai - Chiang Khong

This morning, your breakfast will be served at the terrace around 06.30 a.m. In the morning, visit the morning market (optional) of Pakbeng where the nearby villagers and hill tribes buy and exchange their goods. Boat departs at 07.30 a.. for her second part of trip. One stop is made to visit and admire the authentic rural life of hill tribe settlements.

Lunch is again served on board. Reaching Houay Say before 17.00 p.m.
